No — walk-ins are always welcome at Northside Emergency Pet Clinic. We operate on a triage system, meaning the most critical cases are seen first regardless of arrival order. Please call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival.

Keep your pet as calm and still as possible during transport. If you suspect poisoning, bring the packaging or substance with you. Have any medications your pet is currently taking ready to share with our team.

We accept most major pet insurance providers and can provide detailed records and documentation for your claim. Please call us to confirm coverage with your specific plan.

Signs of a veterinary emergency include: difficulty breathing, collapse or inability to stand, severe bleeding, non-stop vomiting or diarrhea, suspected fractures, seizures, bloating, poisoning, or pale/white gums. When in doubt, call us — we're happy to triage over the phone.

For after-hours emergencies, our clinic is the right call. We specialize in urgent and critical care that general practices aren't set up to handle at night or on weekends. We'll also coordinate with your regular vet for follow-up care.
